Won alot of HU's and 6-max tourneys and lost some back on MTTs. I'm at $1,215 for the month. It easily could have been closer to $2,000, as I bubbled some tourneys with nice paydays (I came in 10th out of 230 in a satellite were top 8 paid $530). Add some of the other "almosts", and I could have gotten close to $2k for the month.
I'm done for the month with poker, so I'll use the next couple of days to plan out February. In February I plan to focus more on getting some of my other projects off the ground. I have a couple of websites I'd like to start work on, as well as a product that I plan on selling on Ebay/Website. More on this next month.

Recap of Week 2-3
Week 2
Week 2 started out well. I won a $215 seat in a $10 satellite tournament with about 200 runners. I moved up to $10-$12 SNGs and continued multi-tabling .05c/.10c NL 6max. Two weeks into January I was up to about $700.
Week 3
I went on a sick run playing HeadsUp SNGs - $20s-$30s with the occasional $50s. I'll post stats later, but I almost can't lose. I'm sure that won't last. I have also been doing really well at 6 player SNGs - $12s-$25s. I have since moved up to multi-tabling .10c/.25c but have had a nasty run there. Lot's of bad beats and probably some bad play to finish it off.
After week 3...
$950 profit. $24,050 to go.

Starting over again: Recap of Week 1
Week 1
So I started back at the lowest levels again with a plan to grind it out and move up limits with a proper bankroll. I started multi-tabling the 10NL 6max (4-6 tables) and playing $5 HeadsUps. I was up a few buyins and took some shots at some small tourneys. My first 2 tourneys I played I cashed in one (18/180), and won the other (1/180). That was a good way to start out the first week.
$350 down. Only $24,650 to go.

January and Poker
I actually started this goal on January 1st, but didn't start this blog till today, so I have a month's worth of updates to post.
Poker is going to be one piece of my $25k Voltron. I have been playing Poker recreationally for about 3 years now. I made about $5k last year playing low stakes poker for about 7 months. Didn't really put much time into it though. Withdrew everything about 4 months ago and hadn't played since.
I started playing again at the beginning of the $25k raise, January 1st. Actually December twenty-something, but whatever... close enough. I started with $50 (for whatever reason, I didn't feel like depositing a lot of money back in). Before I withdrew everything, I played mostly .25c/.50c to .50c/$1 cash games and $20-$30 SNGs with the occasional shots at bigger games - $2/$4 to $5/$10 limit, $1/$2 NL 6max, and $50-$100 SNGs.
I'll post results for my first four weeks later.

Setting the goal
It's 2007, and I've set a goal for myself this year. I work a full time job and make a reasonable salary. However, I feel I should be making more. That's why this year I have decided to give myself a $25,000 raise. $25k. To some people this is a lot. To others it's spare change. To me... it's a nice chunk.
I have some rough ideas on how I plan to do this, but no concrete plan. Time availability is going to be key for me. I plan on doing this while working a full time job. That means I'm going to be dedicating a few hours per day and weekends to the $25k. I estimate that I'll be spending about 10-2ohrs a week on the $25k. We'll see how that goes.
